How to get from the airport to the city center?

  • Metro. To get to the city center, you can take the metro on the M11 Istanbul Havalimanı (Istanbul Airport) — Gayrettepe line. At the Gayrettepe terminus, you can transfer to the M2 line and get to any central area. The frequency of trains on the M11 airport line is once every 20 minutes, it is open from 6 a.m. to half past midnight. To navigate in Istanbul, people use the Google Maps application.
  • Havaist bus. The Havaist shuttle bus connects Istanbul's new airport with the city center with two routes: HVIST-16 (to Taksim Square) and HVIST-12 (to Aksaray). The bus stop is on the -2 floor, there is an elevator.
  • Taxi. Taxis in Istanbul are considered expensive. The duration of the trip to the city center will take from 1 hour. The cost is calculated by the counter and starts from $40.
  • Car rent. Depending on the company, car rent will cost around $400 for a standard Volkswagen Polo.
